| Sweet I do like that my "chain" is like 18 inches rather than 8 though lol I've gotten pretty good at judging distances/range with it, so i'm not too afraid of it wrapping around someone but either way, ill start making some more weapons | |

| Yeah fair enough. Maybe we could try another one with 18" chain, but use the foam to make "chain" around it. It would give me a lot of piece of mind. And it'd hit a little harder. It was kinda hard to tell. For me at leasts. | |

| We could easily lol, but i'm worried about the foam rings on the chain hindering its ability to swing properly as a flail should | |

| Well I just have this vision of you accidentally wrapping someone around the neck, and trying to yank it back for another shot on somebody else. I think if we give the chains a 1/4" space between them, it would still swing around. Probably closer to an actual flail as well, because they sure as hell didn't use string. they used metal chains. Hah. | |

| 4.2.5. Morning stars and flails: 4.2.5.1. Flail heads must weight a minimum of 4 ounces and minimum circumference of 16 inches measured on separate axes. 4.2.5.2. The end of morning star must follow the 2 1/2 inch rule. 4.2.5.3. The maximum chain length is 6 inches. 4.2.5.4. The rope or cloth of the flail chain must be covered with segmented foam (rings) to reduce risk of the chain wrapping a weapon or limb. 4.2.5.5. Morning stars and flails are always blue weapons regardless of length.
Just the rules from Belegarth/Dagorhir. We can modify them for sure, but safety is pretty important. I would say the foam chains are necessary. | |

| I know I sound like a hard ass, but I don't want to have to drive anybody to the E.R. | |
